Abstract
In the third event of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science held on February 21 and 22, 2024 at the North University Center of the University of Guadalajara, the members and collaborators of the Technology and Resource Use academic body udg-ca-1117 consider that, through a workshop, the vocation for science is developed in girls, boys and young people, in addition to contributing to the generation of knowledge. One of the objectives of the academic body is to disseminate its academic and research work through scientific workshops focused on the application of knowledge connected to the natural and social sciences. The members and collaborators of the udg-ca-1117 gave the workshops titled “Programming without a PC”, “Discover the secret”, “Nanomaterials in everyday life”, “Guardians of money: the savings workshop for super little ones!”, “Mathematics is not boring” and “Money Fest”, which turned out to be attractive to children and young people due to the experiential experience through educational activities and experiments, which they themselves carried out with recycled materials. More than 60 primary school students, university students, as well as administrators and teachers participated. Scientific dissemination through workshops helps generate creative thinking and life skills in order to face challenges in the local and global context, which in turn contribute to the development of a nation's economy.
